Instagram post Caption: “You will have tea, of course? Tea is the only simple pleasure left to us …” Lounging, jostling, bumping lusciously along inside the bed of a grand circus caravan through the forests & hills of Southern Oregon, to assemble a medieval handcrafted tent furnished with plush rugs and delicate antique porcelain, to perform tea service by candlelight for creatures emerging from a thick treeline, all full of musick of the night, and delight, thirsting for rich tastes and whispered tales….To watch my dearest, dearest kindreds alight with passion, wonderment, purpose, pleasure. To receive most intentional inspiration and knowledge from individuals I hold in the highest esteem, and whom I dearly love…. To witness the delightful fruits of their precious labour. Darwin Grey & Wynn Thorn - the brilliant minds behind this most bold woodland venture, and facilitators of LA BOHÈME Tea House based in Portland, Oregon are two of our contemporary age’s most innovative, evocative of the Old World, and generous hard-working individuals around. I could not more highly recommend anyone reading this to learn their names and become familiar with their artist’s missions. I feel so drastically fortunate each and every day in my time out west, to be graced by their minds and hearts. My lovely hosts. They work tirelessly to provide wholly unique experiences, to host and welcome guests to all manner and array of mystic worlds they’ve summoned from ether. They build it all up from dust. Again and again. @darwin.grey @covenstead If these images spark your fancy — it only gets so much more decadent from here. There is a brick & mortar tearoom speakeasy inside a fabulous Victorian, and you are invited. If you are in Portland, or hereabouts, I am so pleased to extend welcome for tea this season. I could not be more honored to help serve you in the magnificent Bohème. Opening for the season this Saturday & Sunday. Instagram post Caption: A La Boheme appreciation post, because we are incredibly lucky to have such a place to throw shows at. Each show I throw is so different from the last and so special in its own way. In a world that seems to be lacking house venues, I am so honored to have such an incredible place to bring just the absolute best people and musicians together. There really isn’t another venue like it. It wouldn’t be possible without one of my best friends, @darwin.grey who lets all of this happen. I will never take you for granted! And thank you Jaden @nostalgiapurgatory for your uttermost support. The next boheme show will be August 3rd stay tuned! Sound ON to enjoy these special moments from over the last couple years ♥️ View original post

Instagram post Caption: Friday September 13th in collaboration with @nostalgiapurgatory we invite you to a most trippy of nights, and to join us as we welcome in the haunting season. The year is 1969 and a notoriously haunted abandoned Victorian is the scene of the crime. The groovy kids in town know it’s the best inconspicuous spot to throw a party but little do they know the house is indeed haunted and infested with all kinds of ghouls and witches. September 13th 1969 was the debut of the first episode of Scooby Doo, a show that celebrated the 60s obsession with the occult and witchcraft. And in its home we present a night that will be our love letter to hammer horror and the auspicious year that was the climax of a most iconic decade. RSVP is required and this time we are asking a $10 cover for entry through this portal; And of course costumes are required. Either you are some kind of groovy kid in the scene or some fiendish monster. It’s up to you. More details will be shared soon. View original post
